Turmeric turns this smoothie a deep golden color while orange and lemon layer in a hefty dose of vitamin C, making it a fast way to start the morning when your immune system could use a lift. A pinch of black pepper unlocks the turmeric's active compounds, and banana and chia seeds keep it thick and satisfying.

Why This Is Good for Your Gut

Vitamin C from the orange and lemon supports immune cell function, while turmeric's curcumin, made more absorbable by the black pepper, brings a genuine anti-inflammatory boost. Chia seeds and banana add soluble fiber that feeds beneficial gut bacteria, and fresh ginger contributes its own antimicrobial properties.

Pour this into a to-go cup on busy mornings and drink it on your way out the door.
